New House

We have found our new house and are moved in! Well, kind of. All of our furniture is still in St. Louis but we are officially in our new house. We went back and forth about buying versus renting but decided to rent for now so we are not adding even more to our plate. Renting allowed us to get into a place much more quickly too. And here we are! Now when Drew gets leave we can head back to St. Louis and get our stuff. Drew is still in in-processing right now but will hopefully report to his new unit by Friday. Once he is there he will learn more about his leave. Here's a picture of our new house. It's a cute 3 bed/2 bath with a great fenced in yard for the dogs that backs up to trees and a little lake. The neighborhood also has a pool which, as many of you know, was a selling point! :) We are right in between base and Savannah, with Savannah being about 20 minutes away. We are only about 5 minutes from water though which is fun. Now we are getting excited to move in all of our furniture. Right now we are basically camping in our new house. :)

Uncle Matt saying a big HELLO and/or Jo Reggelt !!!

great house !! does help tremendously to have a "home" !!!

just got back Monday night and was curious to catch up with you guys !!

flew in through Atlanta and of course, the Atlanta airport was crazy with troops being deployed !!! Bunch of charter flights out of there to Bahrain, Kuwait and of course, other points. So the guys and gals and of course immediately thought of you guys !!

YOu know what ? You all are a great looking bunch of GREAT people !!! All the service people I saw looked amazing, relaxed and people that I AM PROUD OF !!! (especially coming back from Europe !!...)

Hey Drew...I wished I had a video...and I am not disparaging our French (allies ???????), but we were at the Arc de Triumph last Saturday and there happened to be a ceremony starting to take place. There were about 10 French soldiers (male and female)...they had to "line-up"...it was a circus !!!! They all had to put their bayonets on...they all did it randomly and casully. Then they had to do sort of a "dress right" ....wellllll let me tell you ....it was like a shoving match for them trying get their proper "arms length spacing" !!! NO DISCIPLINE !!! jeeeez we are definitely the best of the best !!!

I know, they have been losing people over in Afghanistan also, and I know they have some "tough" people in their forces too, but this was a pretty poor display for this honor guard!!

anyway...enough on that. Look forward to reading up more on your training and assignments !!!!

Good job Drew !!! Go Army !!!!

    Love , Uncle Matt
