Christmas Tree Farm Fun

Sunday, 11/29/15 we headed to a Christmas Tree Farm in Wright City to cut down a tree. We found the perfect one according to the boys so we took it home to decorate. Santa was inside the shop but Cole got a little nervous so we didn't sit on his lap. We stopped by a winery/restaurant in New Melle on the way home then decorated. So fun that Grannie Annie and Papa could join us!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed a quiet long weekend at home for Thanksgiving while also getting out to Aunt Ellen's to enjoy an awesome dinner prepared by Grannie Annie. So much to be thankful for!

First Buck at the Ranch!

What a successful rifle season! We had a great time hunting, playing with the boys (Gigi watched them the second weekend), eating and drinking, AND Drew and Papa got a huge buck on Sunday, 11/22/15, the last weekend. They had hiked beyond the back 40 on corp land and happened to see a monster climbing a hill on the opposite ravine. They had a quick window and Drew placed the perfect shot. So neat that they were together!

Happy 37th Bday Daddy!

Drew hunted on his birthday while the boys picked out his special dessert. After much debate over cookies, ice cream, cake and brownies, Cole went with cake pops. It was so hard to wait for Daddy to get home to eat them. He also said how much fun he had with Grannie Annie when she decorated for his bday so we put up the same decorations for Drew. Definitely the thought that counts!

Ducks at the Ranch!

On 11/7/15, Papa got his first ducks at the ranch! Two shots to take a boy and girl (drake and hen) wood ducks on the hidden lake. The best part: They landed on the shore so no retrieval needed. :) The boys love playing at the ranch and waiting to see if we get anything. Soon enough they will be hunting with us!
