5 Year Anniversary

Today marks our five year wedding anniversary! Drew was headed to the main post but called me last night which was the morning of our anniversary for him. We could see each other on Skype so we virtually 'clinked' my wine glass and his coffee mug in a cheers to our marriage. Works for me! It's the newest addition on the list of things to celebrate when Drew gets home. (And surprisingly no, I don't literally have a list!) We've accomplished so much, had a blast doing it, and our excited about our future. Life is good.

Camper's Maiden Voyage

This past weekend the camper made its maiden voyage to Montauk. Talk about educational! With just one trip I am already feeling better versed in camper procedures. Montauk made a great destination too because everyone at the farm was able to swing by and say hi.

All set up on Friday night with my Dad, Cole, and Jake.

It took Jake no time at all to find his spot on a raised carpeted section under the kitchen table.

Saturday my Mom, Kyle and Mooch (my parent's new dog) joined us.

Of course Grannie Annie showed up with a new cowboy hat and boots for Cole. He's taking his new title of Cowboy Cole rather seriously. He also discovered the cooler this weekend. LOVES playing in the cooler and eating ice.

He quickly learned how to walk in boots. A little different with the heel compared to tennis shoes.

Reading a book streamside.

The Harris clan came to check out the new camper on Saturday. They approve!

 Anna made it too!

Seeing MANY more camping weekends in our future.

Cowboy Cole

Now that Cole is one year old, Drew and I decided it was about time to get that boy on a horse! He was a natural! I knew he would like it because he is always so interested in the horses at Brophy Ranch. He always pets them, kisses them, points at them, etc. so when I put Cole up on Scarlett he was thrilled. He also learned immediately that he needed to hold onto the horn.

He rode for about 20 minutes and pointed to get back into the saddle when we took him down so we let him ride Duchess for a minute too. Thinking this is the start of a beautiful thing. ;)

Leadership Visit

On Tuesday, 7/31, Drew's leadership team made the trip to their remote site. It's the first time they have made the trip, meaning this is the first time I have approved pictures to share! Drew was one of four recognized with coins which comes with a quick ceremony/speech about the recipients and was able to shake hands with a two star General, Commander, and Sgt Major. Proud of him and all the guys for their hard work!
