Meeting Gram and Two Month Check Up

Last Thursday Cole was able to meet his Great Gram Harris. She was vacationing with her brother about two hours from here in Edisto Beach, SC so we met in Beaufort, SC for dinner which was about half way for both of us. It was so fun to be able to introduce her to Cole. It was a great visit. We are looking forward to coming home soon to see her again along with the rest of the fam.

This morning we took Cole to his two month check up. He received a healthy report! He is now 13 lbs 1 oz putting him in the 62nd percentile and 23 1/2 inches long which is 51%. He'll go back at four months for his next check up. He was a champ too and only cried for a minute when he got his shots. I hated that part but luckily he stopped crying almost immediately.

Our little Mizzou fan. :)

They love taking naps together.

He's getting so much stronger too.

Uncle Pete and Aunt Ashley

This weekend we had a blast with Pete and Ashley or I should say Uncle Pete and Aunt Ashley. We were so excited for them to meet Cole! They arrived Friday morning and left Sunday night so a short trip but we fit in a great visit and of course lots of laughs. Friday the boys checked out the land lease while Ashley and I took Cole for a walk at the park and got dinner ready. After an amazing dinner (bacon wrapped shrimp that is to die for) we went to the local Sand Gnats baseball game. It was game 5 of the playoffs which made for an exciting game. And don't be fooled- yes the game is great but we really like it because there is a neat beer garden/deck that sits out in the outfield so instead of going to a normal bar it's fun to basically be at a bar and watch a game too. We couldn't believe it but we were actually cold. It had been 90 and sunny on Thursday but this weekend was cloudy and chilly.

Saturday morning we headed down to Forsyth Park to workout and get coffee...yes, this is old news at this point but it was extra fun with Pete and Ashley there.

This was the first time we have had to bundle Cole up. He looked so cute and snuggly.

We then stuck around Savannah for lunch. Nothing like eating pizza after a workout. At least we worked out first right? Then Saturday night we took them to Sunbury Crab Co. which is a neat restaurant out by our house on the river.

Cole slept the entire time. :)

Sunday the boys hunted in the morning then we headed back downtown for lunch.
Another good meal and more laughs!

It was sad to see them go but we are looking forward to seeing them soon. We also have Aunt Sarah and Uncle Wade coming in a few weeks so lots to look forward to. Drew and I were saying again how fortunate we are to have such a loving family who goes above and beyond to get down here to see our newest addition. Love them all.

Grannie Annie and Grandpa Bruce

Grannie Annie and Grandpa Bruce came to visit this past weekend. Who knows what Cole will call my parents but for now that's what we're going with. We had a great time! It had been five weeks since they had seen Cole so they were more than excited to get their hands on him.

Saturday morning we showed them Forsyth Park and our routine of working out, the farmers market and coffee. I say routine but we have only done it a few times but really like it. Later that day Grannie Annie babysat while my dad, Drew and I went to Savannah Craft Brew Fest where we sampled beer from different breweries. It was outside right on the Savannah riverfront which was neat. I should mention Grannie Annie also served as the designated driver. :)

Sunday my parents 'made us' go on a date. It was nice to get out just the two of us and enjoy one another. This isn't the cutest pic but here we are before we left.

Monday we took Cole on his first pub crawl in Savannah. Well not really... we just all went down to Savannah and had a drink and a few appetizers at a few different places.

Cole is sound asleep in this picture but it cracks me up. We were saying he looks like 'that guy' at the bar. Such a party animal. :)

It was sad to see them go but can't wait for Pete and Ashley to meet Cole next weekend then Sarah and Wade are not far behind them. Cole is well loved!
